Back pain is one of the most common ailments affecting Americans today — second only to headaches. Chiropractic care is an important way to treat back pain and spinal disorders or injuries, without resorting to invasive surgeries or relying on potentially addictive pain medications. That is why the American Chiropractic Association has declared October National Chiropractic Health Month.
Preserve Your Health with Chiropractic Care
A survey conducted by the Consumer Reports Health Ratings Center found that about 80 percent of American adults say they have experienced back pain at some point in their lives, and about 50 percent of those said the pain was bad enough that it forced them to change their daily routine for one or more days a week. Eighty-eight percent of Americans who have experienced back pain say the pain is recurrent.
When it comes to treating back pain, conservative treatment is best; spinal surgery is considered a last resort for the treatment of lasting pain and impairment that has not improved with more conservative care. Chiropractic care is one such conservative treatment.
When you think of chiropractic care, you probably think of manual spinal adjustments. While these are certainly a central part of chiropractic care, they are just a small part of what we do here at Premier Family Chiropractic. We also offer massage therapy, allergy symptom treatment, electrotherapy, cold therapy, neuro-muscular re-education and weight managment.
Here at Premier Family Chiropractic, we believe that keeping your spine healthy is the first step to whole-body health. Proper spinal alignment and nerve functioning affects everything you do, so we believe that chiropractic care is an essential part of your wellness plan. Our chiropractor, Dr. Quinn W.
